Knoxville Neighborhoods: Community Pools in Concord / Bluegrass Neighborhood
With today being the last official day of Winter, Knox County Schools out on Spring Break, and the morning daytime temperatures starting out in the 30’s, spring and summer is something that is weighing heavily on the minds of many Knoxville residents. With the upcoming spring and summer season upon us I thought it would be a good time to revisit some of the Knoxville area’s neighborhoods that have neighborhood pools. Because the number of public pools is quite scarce throughout the Knoxville area, having a neighborhood pool is often a top search feature.
Concord / Bluegrass is one of the most popular parts of West Knoxville. The Concord Bluegrass area is located right next to Lake Loudon, offering easy use of the many public boat docks and lakefront public parks. The Concord Bluegrass areas have an isolated suburban feel but are just minutes from I-40, the major interstate system that runs through Knoxville, as well as the Pellissippi Parkway, which offers a quick commute to McGee Tyson Air Port and Oak Ridge National Laboratory.
